British furniture designer and maker
about

Charlie Crowther-Smith is a British designer trained in classical cabinetry,
an education that has informed his understanding of the relationship
between material and maker.

His work explores construction techniques
and designs centred around colour, shape – the space around it, and clean
lines.

Using traditional methods and hand tooling where possible to retain the
tactility of natural materials, Charlie prefers to work with sustainable
products and finishes such as beeswax, natural oils, glues and paints.

Charlie’s work is available to buy and exhibit, having sold pieces with
prestigious retailers such as Lane Crawford in HK, as well as
commissions for many high-profile clients. He is happy to discuss
commissions and likes to collaborate.
